Insurance
I currently only accept Cigna Insurance. The reason for this is simple….I feel strongly that the therapeutic process is a very personal and private thing and should only be shared with those who absolutely need to know about it. I also find that clients are more willing to come to counseling when they are not worried about what their insurance company will find out. In order for insurance to cover you or your child’s therapy sessions, diagnostic criteria for a mental health disorder must be met. This diagnosis, as well as the treatment plan, becomes a part of you or your child’s permanent insurance medical record. I believe that it is your choice regarding whether you choose to notify your insurance company that you are receiving services. If you have Cigna Insurance, it is up to your discretion whether or not you want to use it.
Although I do not currently participate with most insurance companies, the services provided are often reimbursable at 50% – 80% through your insurance plan’s out-of-network benefits. On a monthly basis, I will provide you with a receipt, called a Superbill, that contains all the necessary information required by insurance companies. You can submit this bill to the insurance company to be compensated through your out-of-network benefits.
If you are interested in learning about what your plan covers, call the number on the back of your insurance card and inquire about their reimbursement policy for “Outpatient Psychotherapy” with an “Out of Network Provider.”

Rates
Initial intake sessions are scheduled for 90 mins and cost $225. This session is a comprehensive gathering of information about the client, presenting problem, and goals for treatment.
Ongoing sessions last 50 mins and cost $175.
Initial telephonic consultations are complimentary.
I offer a sliding scale fee to clients in need who otherwise would not be able to afford services at the standard rate. Sessions offered at a reduced fee receive the same attention as sessions that are paid for at full fee. Reduced fee sessions fill up quickly and are offered only upon availability.
Payment
Payment for services is due before or at the end of each session and can be made by any of the following means:
- Cash
- Personal check
- Zelle bank transfer
- Credit card through the secure Client Portal (except for insurance copays)
Cancellation Policy
Clients are expected to honor a 24-hour cancellation policy for intakes and individual therapy sessions. Such courtesy will allow for the opportunity to fill your originally scheduled time slot. Cancellations and re-scheduled counseling sessions received with less than 24 hours notice, will be subject to the full rate.
